lover boy

I noticed on a friend’s blog roll that we have not posted in almost six months, yikes! My last post was exactly a year ago, when I was fourteen weeks pregnant. It seems like forever ago. Our lives have changed incredibly. I am happy to say for the better, though I might have hesitated to say that during the first five months. We have endured a “high-maintenance” baby, as the doctor termed it during Owen’s sixth week alive. We have been to the doctor five times in the last month alone and he has never been sick! Owen has struggled with colic,…then silent reflux…and now that we’ve started solids we’ve battled constipation for the last two weeks.

I have often said that I wish he could just tell us what is bothering him, though without words, he has done an excellent job of communicating. People often comment how alert Owen is and how expressive. He is such a joy, and is happy and full of giggles all day long. Since getting the reflux diagnosed he is such a snuggler and a good sleeper. Owen loves to give kisses, especially right after he wakes up, as if to say that he missed us. Everything goes into his mouth, even his little cousin Landon and his best girls- Elizabeth and Jane. He is such a lover!

  1. Aww- He is so cute! Our son will be 9 months tomorrow. It is amazing how much changes in such a short time! Glad things are going well for you. Kristen- are you teaching or staying home with Owen? It seems crazy it has been over 3 years since we lived in CRW!
