Two days ago, Kristen and I decided that it was finally time to hang stuff on our walls, so in the basement, right above the television, we hung a candleholder.  It’s a horizontal metal bar with three long metal holders that hook around that bar and hang down, each with a large candle on it.  About thirty minutes after we hung it, we were watching the olympics and it came crashing down, shattering two glass candle holders that were on the TV stand.

Last night, we were again watching the olympics (yeah, we’re hooked), and we heard a loud bang and the sound of broken glass, this time upstairs.  We ran upstairs and found that a bottle of champagne (a housewarming gift) had somehow lept off our wine rack and shattered on the kitchen floor.

The ghosts in our house are ready for us to leave.  The house is all theirs on Monday.
